Kleos vs Garna: a price you can read before you talk to anyone

Garna advertises transparent pricing and zero setup cost, then publishes no price anywhere on its site. You cannot work out what a payout run costs until someone quotes you. Kleos puts the number on the page, so you can budget before the first conversation.

The questions teams ask before they move
Why can I not find out what Garna costs?
Because there is nothing published. Garna's site advertises transparent pricing and zero setup cost, but there is no pricing page and no rate, percentage or per-contractor figure anywhere on it. Their terms also allow per-transfer flat rates or percentages on payouts in local currency or through regional banks, without saying what those are. In practice that means two things: you cannot model what a payout run will cost until somebody quotes you, and once they have, there is no published number to hold anyone to later.

Kleos puts it on the page. A flat $50 per contractor with discounts at volume, currency conversion capped at 3.5% and written into your contract at signing, zero fees deducted from contractors, no setup fee and no minimum commitment. You can build a budget from the website before you speak to a single person.

Will our contractors actually be paid on time?
Yes, and we treat it as the one thing that cannot slip. Your balance is credited in two to three hours on instant rails, card and crypto payouts land in seconds and SWIFT from a few minutes, and you can run a payout any time rather than waiting for a cycle. If something ever does look slow, you have a named person in a shared channel who can see the transfer and tell you exactly where it is, instead of a status that says it is in progress.

What happens when the situation is not straightforward?
That is the question worth asking, because every platform looks the same when a payout is simple. The hard cases are where it shows: a contractor registered as a sole proprietor in one country and an individual in another, a jurisdiction where a plain transfer gets questioned by the receiving bank, a contractor who has quietly become an employee and needs moving onto local payroll, an auditor asking for documentation months after the fact.

Kleos handles those as part of the service rather than as an exception. You get a named expert who already knows your setup, available 24/7 in your own Slack, Teams or Telegram channel, rather than a different agent each time who has to be told the whole story again. That continuity is the point: we are alongside you for the whole relationship, not only during the demo.

How does verification work, and can it hold up a payment?
Verification happens properly at onboarding, before money is moving. Kleos is ISO 27001 certified and GDPR compliant, and our KYC and AML policy is published on the site rather than summarised in a clause. Contractors are verified as part of being added, so a payout does not get held while someone re-checks a document mid-run.

If a verification does need more information, you hear it from a named person, with the reason and the next step, and we work it through with you. Nobody is left reading a reference to a policy and guessing what it means.
